« Aimons toujours ! Aimons encore ! »

La Maison de Victor Hugo vient d’enrichir ses collections d’un tableau inédit de Pascal Adolphe Dagnan-Bouveret, acquis auprès de notre galerie.
Destinée à illustrer une édition posthume des Contemplations, cette toile, d'une grande délicatesse, s’inscrit parfaitement dans la vocation du musée, dédié non seulement à la vie et à l’œuvre polymorphe d’Hugo mais également aux créations des artistes ayant célébré l'écrivain jusqu’à nos jours.
Cette acquisition donnera lieu, du 17 juin au 2 novembre prochain,  à une exposition « format de poche » consacrée aux peintures en grisaille du musée inspirées par les écrits du poète : Cabanel, Carpeaux, Constant, Rochegrosse et Robert-Fleury seront réunis autour de Dagnan-Bouveret dans l’appartement de Victor Hugo.
